  5. Use of the Service, including the Generator, is entirely free of charge.
  6. These Terms do not cover the sale of physical products (e.g. string art kits, frames, 3D-printed parts), which takes place through external marketplaces (including Allegro and Etsy) under the terms of those platforms.
  7. These Terms are made available in the Service free of charge in a manner that allows their retrieval, reproduction and recording (including saving and printing).

§2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

  1. Service – the website available at stringer-s.com together with all its subpages.
  2. Provider – the entity indicated in §1(2).
  3. User – any natural person using the Service.
  4. Consumer – a User who is a consumer within the meaning of the applicable provisions of the Polish Civil Code (Article 22¹) and EU consumer law.
  5. Account – a set of resources and features in the Service assigned to a User after registration, enabling, among other things, the saving of Projects.
  6. Generator – the String Art Generator tool enabling the automatic generation of a Project based on a Photo uploaded by the User.
  7. Editor – a feature of the Service enabling the User to view a Project, including stepping through the successive points (nails/pins) that define the path of the thread.
  8. Project – the string art pattern generated by the Generator, in particular the sequence of points and thread connections.
  9. Photo – an image file uploaded by the User to the Generator.

§3. Types and scope of services provided by electronic means

  1. Through the Service, the Provider offers the following free services:
    1. browsing the content of the Service;
    2. Generator – the ability to upload a Photo and automatically generate a Project;
    3. Editor – the ability to view a Project and step between its points;
    4. Account – registration and maintenance of an Account, including saving Projects;
    5. contact form – the ability to send a message to the Provider.
  2. Using the Generator and the Editor does not require an Account. An Account is required only to save a Project and return to it in the future.
  3. The agreement for the provision of services by electronic means is concluded:
    1. for services that do not require an Account – upon commencing use of the given service, and terminates when the User stops using it;
    2. for the Account – upon completion of registration, for an indefinite period.

§4. Technical requirements and risks

  1. To use the Service, the following are required:
    1. a device with internet access;
    2. a current version of a web browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled;
    3. for Account registration – an active e-mail address or a Google account.
  2. The Provider informs that using services provided by electronic means involves risks typical of the internet (e.g. malware, phishing, credential theft). The Provider applies technical measures to reduce these risks (including HTTPS encryption), and recommends that Users apply their own safeguards (up-to-date software, unique passwords).
  3. Users are prohibited from providing unlawful content.

§5. User Account

  1. Account registration is voluntary and free of charge. Registration is possible:
    1. by providing an e-mail address and setting a password, or
    2. via a Google account ("Sign in with Google").
  2. An Account may be registered by a person who is at least 16 years old. Minors may use an Account with the knowledge and consent of their legal guardian.
  3. The User undertakes to:
    1. provide accurate data during registration;
    2. keep login credentials confidential and not share the Account with third parties;
    3. use the Service in accordance with the law, these Terms and good practice.
  4. The User may delete the Account at any time, without giving a reason and free of charge – either through the Account settings or by sending a request to the Provider's e-mail address. Deleting the Account permanently removes the Projects saved in it.
  5. The Provider may suspend or delete the Account of a User who grossly or persistently violates these Terms (in particular §8), after first requesting that the violations cease, unless the nature of the violation justifies immediate action. The User has the right to file a complaint in accordance with §10.

§6. Rules for using the Generator

  1. The Generator allows a Photo to be uploaded, which is automatically processed server-side in order to generate a Project.
  2. If the User does not save the Project to the Account, the Photo and the Project are not permanently stored – the Photo is used solely to generate the Project and is deleted after processing is complete, and the Project is not stored anywhere after the session ends.
  3. A logged-in User may save a Project to their Account. The source Photo is stored together with the saved Project to enable the User to return to and further edit the Project. The saved Project, together with the Photo, is stored until deleted by the User or until the Account is deleted.
  4. A Project is artistic and approximate in nature – its quality and fidelity to the Photo depend, among other things, on the parameters of the uploaded Photo (contrast, resolution, framing). The Provider does not guarantee any specific visual result.
  5. The Provider may apply technical limitations relating to, among other things, the format and size of uploaded files and the number of generations, where justified by the performance or security of the Service.
  6. Using the Generator in an automated manner (bots, scripts) that excessively burdens the Service's infrastructure or disrupts other Users' use of the Service is prohibited.

§7. User content and intellectual property

  1. By uploading a Photo to the Generator, the User declares that:
    1. they hold the rights to the Photo to the extent necessary to upload and process it in the Service;
    2. if the Photo contains the likeness of third parties – they have the appropriate consent of those persons or another legal basis for using their likeness;
    3. the Photo does not infringe the rights of third parties or any legal provisions.
  2. The User retains all rights to the uploaded Photos. Uploading a Photo constitutes the grant to the Provider of a free, non-exclusive licence limited solely to the technical actions necessary to provide the service, i.e. processing the Photo to generate a Project and – where the Project is saved to the Account – storing the Photo and Project data. The Provider does not use Users' Photos or Projects for any other purpose, in particular marketing, and does not share them with third parties (except for the technical infrastructure providers referred to in the Privacy Policy).
  3. The User may use the generated Project without restriction, for private and commercial purposes (e.g. creating physical string art, including for sale). The Provider makes no claim to how Users use their Projects.
  4. All rights to the Service as a whole, including its software, the algorithm generating the Projects, the graphic layout, logos, texts and other content posted by the Provider, belong to the Provider. Copying, modifying, decompiling and using them beyond the scope of permitted use under applicable law is prohibited.

§8. Prohibited content

  1. It is prohibited to upload to the Service (including the Generator and the contact form) content that:
    1. is unlawful, including content infringing copyright, image rights or the personal rights of third parties;
    2. depicts minors in a sexual context – an absolute prohibition;
    3. is pornographic, or incites hatred, violence or discrimination;
    4. contains malware or is intended to breach the security of the Service.
  2. The Provider may refuse to process content that violates these Terms and may remove such content from the Service, and in justified cases – notify the relevant authorities.
  3. Violations may be reported to the Provider's e-mail address indicated in §1(3).

§9. Liability

  1. The services in the Service are provided free of charge, on an "as is" basis.
  2. The Provider makes efforts to ensure the Service operates continuously and correctly, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service. The Provider reserves the right to technical breaks, maintenance and updates.
  3. The Provider is not liable for:
    1. content (including Photos) uploaded by Users and the consequences of uploading it;
    2. the loss of Projects that were not saved to the Account;
    3. how Users use their Projects, including the creation of physical string art based on a Project;
    4. the consequences of a User sharing login credentials with third parties.
  4. The Provider's liability for providing free services is limited to damage caused intentionally – to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  5. The provisions of this section do not exclude or limit the rights of Consumers arising from mandatory provisions of law.

§10. Complaints

  1. Complaints regarding the operation of the Service may be submitted to: contact@stringer-s.com.
  2. A complaint should include: information enabling contact with the User (at least an e-mail address), a description of the problem and – where possible – the date it occurred.
  3. The Provider considers complaints within 14 days of receipt and responds to the e-mail address from which the complaint was sent (or another address indicated by the User).

§11. Withdrawal from and termination of the agreement

  1. A Consumer who has concluded an agreement for maintaining an Account may withdraw from it within 14 days of its conclusion without giving a reason, by sending an appropriate statement to the Provider's e-mail address. Given the free nature of the services, withdrawal does not involve any settlements.
  2. Regardless of the above, any User may stop using the Service at any time, and an Account holder may terminate the agreement with immediate effect by deleting the Account (§5(4)).
  3. The Provider may terminate the agreement for maintaining an Account for important reasons (e.g. violation of these Terms, discontinuation of the service) with a 14-day notice period, informing the User at the e-mail address associated with the Account. In the case of a gross violation of these Terms, termination may take immediate effect.

§12. Personal data

The rules for processing Users' personal data and using cookies are set out in the Privacy Policy, available at: stringer-s.com/privacy.

§13. Changes to the Terms and discontinuation of the Service

  1. The Provider may change these Terms for important reasons, in particular: changes in the law, changes in the scope or manner of providing the services, the introduction of new features, or security considerations.
  2. The Provider will give notice of any change to these Terms at least 14 days in advance via a notice in the Service, and Account holders will additionally be notified by e-mail.
  3. A User who does not accept the changes may delete their Account before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of them.
  4. The Provider reserves the right to discontinue the services and to close the Service in whole or in part. Account holders will be informed of any planned closure at least 30 days in advance, to allow them to download or secure their saved Projects.

§14. Final provisions

  1. The law governing agreements concluded under these Terms is Polish law. The choice of Polish law does not deprive a Consumer of the protection afforded to them under provisions that cannot be excluded by agreement and that apply in the country of their habitual residence.
  2. Disputes with Consumers will be resolved by the courts having jurisdiction under generally applicable law. A Consumer may use out-of-court methods of handling complaints and pursuing claims, including assistance from a municipal (district) consumer ombudsman or the regional inspectorates of the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
  3. If any provision of these Terms proves invalid or ineffective, the remaining provisions remain in force.
  4. These Terms enter into force on 21 July 2026.
